¡Ola! Practice up on your Spanish!
While the 2027 Rotary International Convention was initially scheduled in Dubai, worldwide conflict caused a change of venue for this Rotary year. Barcelona had been the site for 2029, but is now instead the site for 2027's convention. Barcelona area Rotary clubs and Rotary International staff are working diligently to present an outstanding conference, despite the short planning period.
Registration for the RI Conference will begin in September 2026 and the conference takes place June 26-30, 2027, in Barcelona. Given that Spain won the World Cup in soccer this year at their last game versus Argentina held in New Jersey, there should be lots of interest for Rotarians to attend the conference.
Be sure to book early! Who knows? We may even get a soccer demonstration from the Spanish world champions!
